Dhul is a Spanish brand known for its dairy-based desserts, particularly flans. Founded in 1969 by Ignacio Fernández Sanz and María Angustias Amador Martín in Granada, Spain, the company initially sold homemade desserts to local schools. Over time, Dhul became one of Spain's leading producers of packaged flans. In 1988, the Catalan business group Berlax acquired the company. In 2018, Dhul committed to using only eggs from free-range hens in its Original Flan de Huevo, aligning with growing consumer demand for animal welfare. The brand is currently owned by the Andros Group, a French multinational specializing in fruit-based products, headquartered in France. Dhul's products are primarily manufactured in Spain, with some production in other locations.
