KAS Naranja is an iconic Spanish soft drink known for its intensive orange flavor and long-standing presence in the Iberian market. The brand was founded in 1956 in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, by the Knörr brothers, who combined their family brewery's name 'El As' with the first letter of their surname to create the 'KAS' brand. It was originally launched as the first flavored soda in Spain and has since become a household name, particularly famous for its higher juice content compared to international competitors.
Today, the brand is part of the global PepsiCo portfolio, following its acquisition in 1991. Despite its international ownership, KAS maintains a strong regional identity and is primarily manufactured in Spain to supply the local market and parts of Southern Europe and Latin America. It remains a staple in Spanish culture, often used as a mixer or enjoyed as a standalone citrus beverage.
