Nike sportswear

Nike is a global leader in athletic footwear and apparel, with a brand history rooted in innovation and athletic performance. Originally founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports by Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman, it officially became Nike, Inc. in 1971, adopting the name of the Greek goddess of victory. The brand is famous for its 'Swoosh' logo and the iconic 'Just Do It' slogan.

While corporate strategy and product development are headquartered in the United States, Nike's manufacturing is conducted through an extensive global network of independent contract factories. As of 2025 and 2026, the majority of Nike's footwear production takes place in Vietnam (over 50%), followed by China and Indonesia. Apparel production is even more geographically diverse, spanning over 34 countries including Cambodia and Thailand to meet global demand efficiently.
