Wallapop is a Spanish online marketplace founded in 2013 by Agustin Gomez, Gerard Olive, and Miguel Vicente. The platform allows users to buy and sell secondhand goods, primarily through a mobile app that utilizes geolocation technology to connect buyers and sellers within the same geographic area. As of 2023, Wallapop had 15 million monthly active users and over 100 million listings, facilitating the extension of products' lifecycles in a sustainable manner. In August 2025, Naver Corporation, a South Korean internet company, acquired Wallapop by investing an additional €377 million, increasing its stake to 100% and valuing the company at approximately €600 million. Despite the change in ownership, Wallapop continues to operate from its headquarters in Barcelona, Spain, under the leadership of CEO Rob Cassedy.
