Manner Original Neapolitaner Wafers

Manner Original Neapolitaner wafers are an iconic Austrian confectionery product, recognized globally for their distinctive pink packaging and hazelnut-cocoa cream filling. These wafers were first created in 1898 by Josef Manner I in Vienna, designed to be bite-sized and affordable for the general public, using high-quality hazelnuts from Naples (hence the name 'Neapolitaner').

The brand is still produced by Josef Manner & Comp. AG, which remains an independent Austrian family-owned company. Production primarily takes place in its traditional factory in Vienna (District 17) and a second facility in Wolkersdorf, Lower Austria. The brand has maintained a strong commitment to its roots, remaining one of the few large-scale independent confectionery manufacturers in the region, resisting numerous acquisition attempts by multinational corporations.
