Petrol Industries is a prominent European fashion brand that specializes in denim-centric apparel and casual wear. Founded in 1989, the brand was initially inspired by American workwear and the industrial 'petrol' culture, emphasizing rugged, durable, and stylish clothing for men and children. Its aesthetic blends vintage influences with contemporary street style, making it a staple in the mid-range fashion segment across Europe.

The brand's journey from a small Dutch label to an international fashion house was accelerated by the involvement of private equity. In 2016, the European investment firm Vendis Capital acquired a majority stake in the company to fuel its international expansion. However, under the current ownership of the Mentime Group (which acquired it from Vendis Capital in late 2023), Petrol Industries continues to operate as a leading name in the Dutch fashion industry. While the brand management and design remain headquartered in the Netherlands, production is outsourced to various manufacturing hubs in Asia and North Africa.
