The company evolved from MTD KB, which had been operating for nearly 30 years in various distribution services. In April 2022, MTD KB rebranded as Early Bird AB, with ownership transferred to a consortium of Sweden's leading media houses, including NTM, Stampen Media, Gota Media, VK Media, NWT Media, Bonnier News Local, and the distribution company Premo. This strategic move aimed to strengthen Early Bird's position in the growing e-commerce market by leveraging the media houses' extensive networks and resources. The company's mission is to provide efficient and sustainable delivery services, utilizing existing newspaper distribution routes to reach 100% of Sweden's households, including both urban and rural areas. Early Bird emphasizes its commitment to sustainability, with a goal to achieve emissions-free deliveries nationwide by 2030, aligning with the Paris Agreement's objectives.
