Julius-K9 is a world-renowned European brand specializing in professional and consumer-grade dog harnesses, leashes, and training equipment. The company was founded in 1997 by Gyula “Julius” Sebő and Anikó Bakos. The brand's name is a combination of the founder's name, Julius (the German version of Gyula), and 'K9,' the common designation for working canine units.

Starting as a family enterprise in a small garage in Szigetszentmiklós, Hungary, the brand first gained recognition by supplying Austrian and Hungarian police and military K9 units. It achieved international fame following the introduction of its signature IDC® (Innova Dog Comfort) Powerharness, which became a global standard for pet owners and professional handlers alike.

Unlike many global pet brands that outsource to Asia, Julius-K9 maintains strict control over its supply chain. The vast majority of its production occurs within its own manufacturing facilities located in Hungary and Romania, using premium European materials. The company remains privately owned by its founders and continues to operate its global headquarters and research centers from Hungary.
