Renault S.A., commonly known as Renault, is a French multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. Established in 1899, Renault produces a diverse range of vehicles, including cars and vans. The company is part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, a strategic partnership with Nissan and Mitsubishi Motors. Renault's manufacturing operations span multiple countries, including France, Romania, Morocco, Turkey, South Korea, Brazil, and India, among others. In 2025, Renault acquired Nissan's remaining 51% stake in Renault Nissan Automotive India Private Ltd, taking full control of the manufacturing plant in Chennai, India. Additionally, in June 2025, Renault, along with Geely Auto and Geely Holding, announced the establishment of a joint venture to manufacture electric vehicles in Brazil, with Renault holding a 73.57% stake. The French state and Nissan each own a 15% share of Renault S.A., making them significant stakeholders in the company.
