SIA Glass ice cream

SIA Glass is a prominent Swedish ice cream brand deeply rooted in the village of Slöinge, Halland. The brand was established in 1961 as a means to create local employment after a slaughterhouse closure. It is a subsidiary of Bertegruppen AB, which is recognized as Sweden's oldest family-owned company with a history dating back to 1569 through its founding mill, Berte Qvarn.

All SIA Glass products are manufactured at their specialized ice cream dairy in Slöinge. The brand is distinguished by its commitment to using real Swedish cream and natural ingredients, famously being among the first in Sweden to include visible vanilla bean specks in their recipes during the 1970s. Today, the company remains 100% Swedish-owned by the Stenström family and the Bertebos Foundation, maintaining its independence from large international food conglomerates.
