Nescafé Farmers Origins is a premium line of coffee capsules designed for Nespresso systems, highlighting the geographical heritage and farming communities of specific coffee-growing regions. The brand Nescafé was originally launched in Switzerland in 1938 as a solution to the surplus of coffee production in Brazil, following years of research into creating a soluble coffee that preserved the bean's natural flavor.
Today, the brand is owned by the Swiss multinational Nestlé. While Nescafé products are manufactured in dozens of facilities worldwide to serve local markets, the majority of the high-end Farmers Origins and Nespresso-compatible aluminum capsules are produced in Switzerland, particularly in factories like those in Avenches and Orbe. This ensures a global distribution through various regional subsidiaries under the Nestlé umbrella.
