Luxardo is a historic Italian liqueur producer founded in 1821 by Girolamo Luxardo in Zadar, then part of the Austrian Empire. The company is renowned for its Maraschino liqueur, made from marasca cherries, and has expanded its product line to include other liqueurs such as Limoncello, Amaretto, and Sambuca. After World War II, the distillery was relocated to Torreglia, near Padua, Italy, where it continues to operate today. The Luxardo family remains actively involved in the business, with the sixth and seventh generations currently managing the company. Luxardo's products are distributed in over 70 countries worldwide, and the company celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2021. In 2023, the Luxardo Museum opened in Torreglia, dedicated to the brand's rich history and heritage.
