Lipton Teas and Infusions, formerly known as Ekaterra, is the world's largest tea company, offering a diverse portfolio of 34 brands, including Lipton, PG Tips, Pukka, T2, and TAZO. The company was established in 2021 as a distinct division within Unilever, which had a history of over 150 years in the tea industry. In July 2022, CVC Capital Partners Fund VIII, a Luxembourg-based private equity firm, acquired Ekaterra from Unilever for €4.5 billion. Following the acquisition, the company rebranded to Lipton Teas and Infusions in January 2023, reflecting its flagship brand and commitment to the tea and herbal infusions market. The company operates globally, with products sold in more than 100 countries, and is headquartered in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
