Glenglassaugh is a Scottish distillery established in 1875, renowned for its Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The distillery experienced periods of closure, notably from 1986 to 2008, before resuming production. In 2016, it was acquired by Brown-Forman Corporation, an American company headquartered in the United States, which owns several other prominent brands in the spirits industry. The distillery is located in Portsoy, Banffshire, Scotland, and produces a range of single malt Scotch whiskies, including expressions aged 12 years and 50 years. The 12-year-old variant is matured in a combination of bourbon, sherry, and red wine casks, offering a harmonious balance of flavors. The 50-year-old expression is a rare and collectible release, aged in a single cask and bottled at 40.1% ABV. Glenglassaugh's whiskies are characterized by their rich, complex flavors, influenced by the coastal climate and traditional maturation processes.
