Twinings tea

Twinings is one of the world's most historic and prestigious tea brands, founded in 1706 by Thomas Twining when he opened Britain's first known tea room at No. 216 Strand, London. The brand is famous for its association with Earl Grey and its 1787 logo, which is recognized as the world's oldest continually used commercial logo.

While the brand is deeply rooted in British heritage and maintains its historic shop in London, its manufacturing footprint is global. In 2011, Twinings moved the majority of its production to modern facilities in China and Poland to improve efficiency, though it still operates a factory in Andover, Hampshire, United Kingdom, which handles specialized products. Its raw ingredients are ethically sourced from numerous tea-growing regions, including India, China, Kenya, and Argentina.

Since 1964, Twinings has been owned by Associated British Foods (ABF). As of 2026, the brand remains a central part of ABF's global grocery division, continuing a legacy of over three centuries in the tea and wellness beverage sector.
