The brand is inextricably linked to the 'Brauerei im Füchschen', a historic brewpub located on Ratinger Straße in the heart of Düsseldorf's old town. Established in 1848, the brewery remains one of the few independent private breweries in the city, maintaining a strong local identity and high production standards in accordance with the German Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot).

The brand is owned by the family-run Brauerei im Füchschen Peter König e.K. To this day, the brewery remains independent of large beverage conglomerates, ensuring that the production and recipe remain true to its artisanal roots. While primarily brewed for local consumption in Düsseldorf and the surrounding Rhineland region, it is recognized nationally among beer enthusiasts for its copper-colored appearance and malty flavor profile.
