Mountain Dew soft drink

Mountain Dew is a citrus-flavored soft drink that originated in the United States. It was initially developed in the 1940s by Tennessee beverage bottlers Barney and Ally Hartman as a mixer for whiskey. The rights to the formula were acquired by the Tip Corporation of Marion, Virginia, in 1961. In 1964, Pepsi-Cola (now PepsiCo) purchased the Tip Corporation, thereby acquiring Mountain Dew. Since then, Mountain Dew has been produced and distributed by PepsiCo, which is headquartered in Purchase, New York, USA. The beverage is manufactured in multiple countries to meet global demand.
