Casal Garcia is one of the most iconic and globally recognized brands of Vinho Verde, originating from the Minho region in northwestern Portugal. The brand's history dates back to 1939, when a French oenologist, Eugène Hélisse, noticed the potential of the vines at Quinta da Aveleda. Since its first vintage, Casal Garcia has become synonymous with the fresh, light, and slightly effervescent characteristics typical of young Portuguese white wines.

Today, the brand is produced and owned by Aveleda S.A., a family-run business that has been in the Guedes family for five generations. The production remains centralized in the Penafiel region of Portugal, maintaining strict quality control over the traditional grape varieties such as Trajadura, Loureiro, Arinto, and Azal. Aveleda is one of the leading exporters of Portuguese wine, ensuring that Casal Garcia maintains a presence in over 70 countries worldwide while remaining deeply rooted in its Portuguese heritage.
