Selecta is a renowned Filipino brand specializing in dairy products, particularly ice cream. Established in 1933 by Arcecon Dairy Products, Inc., it has become a household name in the Philippines. In 1990, RFM Corporation acquired the Selecta trademark and improved its ice cream recipes, leading to significant market growth. In 1999, RFM Corporation entered into a joint venture with Unilever Philippines, Inc., forming Unilever RFM Ice Cream, Inc., which now oversees the production and marketing of Selecta ice cream products in the Philippines. While Selecta's primary manufacturing is based in the Philippines, the brand's presence in Canada is limited, and its products are not widely available in the Canadian market.
