Toastmaster Model D126T electric toaster

Toastmaster is an American brand known for its kitchen appliances, particularly toasters. The Model D126T electric toaster was manufactured by Toastmaster Inc. in the United States. In 1991, this model was recalled due to a defective switch that could pose fire, burn, or electric shock hazards. The recall affected approximately 8,857 units. The defective toasters featured a chrome case with a black-and-silver nameplate, with the Toastmaster brand name appearing on the lower right-hand corner. Manufactured in April, May, and June of 1989, these toasters were sold nationwide between $30 and $35 each. Consumers were advised to unplug the affected units and contact the company for instructions on returning the unit for a replacement. The recall was initiated by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Toastmaster Inc. in June 1991. The recall number was 90-101.
