Nokia is a historic brand in the mobile telecommunications industry, originally a Finnish conglomerate founded in the 19th century. While the original Nokia Corporation remains a major Finnish company focusing on telecommunications infrastructure and licensing, the 'Nokia' brand for consumer mobile devices has been licensed to HMD Global since 2016.

HMD Global, headquartered in Espoo, Finland, is the exclusive licensee for Nokia-branded phones and tablets. The manufacturing of these devices is largely outsourced to Foxconn's subsidiary, FIH Mobile, with primary production facilities located in China, though it has expanded to Vietnam and India to diversify its supply chain. This partnership allows the brand to combine Finnish design heritage with global manufacturing scale.
