OLW (Old London Wasa) is a prominent Swedish snack food manufacturer, best known for its potato chips and cheese snacks. The company's production facility is located in Filipstad, Sweden, where the vast majority of their potato-based snacks are manufactured using locally sourced potatoes.
Originally founded as a joint venture between the Swedish company Wasabröd and the American snack manufacturer Borden Foods in 1967, OLW has undergone several ownership changes. Since 2005, through a series of acquisitions and mergers, it has been part of Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Sverige, which is a division of the Norwegian conglomerate Orkla ASA. The Orkla group remains the ultimate parent company, managing many of the most recognizable food brands across the Nordic region.
