Fry's Chocolate Cream is one of the world's oldest chocolate bar brands, first launched in 1866 by J. S. Fry & Sons in Bristol, England. The product consists of a rich fondant center enveloped in dark chocolate, maintaining a traditional recipe that has changed little over the last century. While the brand remains a cultural icon of British confectionery heritage, the modern production process has moved from its original UK factories to facilities in Poland.

The history of the brand is marked by significant corporate mergers. In 1919, J. S. Fry & Sons merged with Cadbury, bringing two of Britain’s most famous chocolate families together. Later, Cadbury was acquired by the American multinational Kraft Foods in 2010. Following a corporate spin-off in 2012, the ownership of the Fry's brand transitioned to Mondelez International, which continues to manage the brand as part of its global snack portfolio.
