Magnum ice cream

Magnum is a globally recognized premium ice cream brand, first introduced in 1989. Known for its signature thick chocolate coating and high-quality vanilla ice cream, the brand was originally developed in Belgium by the Ola company in collaboration with the chocolate manufacturer Callebaut. It has since expanded to include a wide variety of flavors, vegan alternatives, and formats such as tubs and minis.

Manufacturing of Magnum products takes place in several locations across the globe to satisfy regional demand. Major production facilities are located in the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, and the United States. The brand is a cornerstone of the global ice cream market, maintaining a premium positioning through its emphasis on 'cracking' chocolate and indulgent ingredients.

While Magnum has long been a core part of the Unilever portfolio, the parent company announced in 2024 its intention to spin off its entire ice cream division into a standalone business by late 2025 or early 2026. This move is designed to simplify Unilever's operations and allow the ice cream brands to pursue independent growth strategies in the global confectionery market.
