Verisure

Verisure, originally known as Securitas Direct, was founded in 1988 in Sweden by Dick Seger. The company specializes in providing professionally monitored alarm systems for homes and small businesses. Over the years, Verisure has expanded its operations across Europe and Latin America, offering services in 17 countries, including Spain, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Portugal, Italy, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Argentina, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. In 2008, the company rebranded to Verisure, marking a new chapter in its growth. In 2011, private equity firms Bain Capital and Hellman & Friedman acquired Verisure, with Hellman & Friedman later becoming the majority shareholder. As of 2025, Hellman & Friedman continues to own Verisure, maintaining its position as a leading provider of security solutions in its operating regions.
