Absolut Vodka

Absolut Vodka is one of the world's most recognizable premium spirit brands. Established in 1879 by Lars Olsson Smith in Åhus, Sweden, the brand pioneered the continuous distillation process to achieve a higher level of purity. Every bottle is produced using winter wheat grown in the fertile fields of southern Sweden and water from the brand's own deep well in Åhus, maintaining a strictly controlled local production cycle often referred to as 'One Source.'

Historically, the brand was owned by the Swedish state-owned V&S Group. In 2008, it was acquired by the French beverage giant Pernod Ricard in a multi-billion dollar deal. Today, while it remains a quintessentially Swedish product in terms of its manufacturing and heritage, its global distribution and strategic management are handled by its French ultimate owner. The packaging is famous for its apothecary-inspired bottle design, which has become a staple of modern advertising and pop culture.
