Talenti is an American brand of gelato and sorbet founded in 2003 by Josh Hochschuler in Dallas, Texas. The brand is named after Bernardo Buontalenti, who is credited with inventing gelato. Initially starting as a storefront gelateria, Talenti shifted its focus to producing gelato for restaurants, hotels, and grocery stores. In 2014, Unilever, a British-Dutch multinational company, acquired Talenti. In 2017, production was moved to Unilever's central ice cream facility in Sikeston, Missouri. In 2024, Unilever announced plans to divest its ice cream brands, including Talenti, with the divestment expected to be completed by the end of 2025. (en.wikipedia.org)
