The Philips Hue Dimmer Switch is a wireless, battery-powered remote control designed to adjust the brightness and cycle through lighting scenes for the Philips Hue smart lighting ecosystem. Originally launched by the Dutch multinational Philips, the brand has a long history in lighting innovation dating back to 1891 in Eindhoven.
Today, the Hue brand is managed and owned by Signify N.V., a company that was formerly known as Philips Lighting. While the engineering and brand heritage remain rooted in the Netherlands, the hardware manufacturing for these consumer electronics typically takes place in China. Signify continues to use the Philips brand name under a long-term licensing agreement.
