Euthymol is a storied British oral care brand whose heritage dates back to 1898. Originally launched in the United Kingdom by the pharmaceutical firm Parke, Davis & Co., the brand gained legendary status for its bright pink color and a powerful, medicinal flavor derived from a blend of thymol and eucalyptus oils. For much of the 20th and early 21st centuries, the brand was managed by Johnson & Johnson, which famously navigated a brief supply interruption in 2013 to reformulate the product for modern safety regulations while preserving its iconic Victorian-style packaging.
In late 2020, the brand underwent a significant transition when it was acquired by the South Korean multinational LG Household & Health Care. Under this new ownership, Euthymol has experienced a global resurgence, particularly in Asian markets, and has expanded its product line beyond the classic toothpaste to include mouthwashes, specialized toothbrushes, and whitening products. While the brand maintains its distinctively British identity and vintage aesthetic, contemporary production has largely shifted to South Korea to leverage LG's advanced manufacturing and research facilities.
