Merrild Gold Coffee

Merrild is a classic Danish coffee brand that originated in 1964 when Møller Merrild opened a small roastery in Kolding, Denmark. The 'Merrild Gold' line is one of their most popular products, known for its balanced Arabica blend.

Over the decades, the brand has grown significantly, moving from a local roastery to a national staple. In 1991, Merrild was acquired by the Dutch coffee giant Douwe Egberts. Following a series of international mergers in the coffee sector, it eventually became part of the JDE Peet's portfolio.

Today, while the brand maintains its strong Danish identity and heritage, the coffee is sourced from global producers and roasted at various facilities across Europe to meet international demand under the ownership of JDE Peet's, which is headquartered in the Netherlands.
