Magnum is a brand of ice cream bars that originated in Denmark in the late 1980s. Developed by Mogens Vigh-Larsen, then technical director of Frisko, Magnum was introduced in 1988. The original Magnum Classic featured vanilla ice cream coated with a thick layer of chocolate. Due to the challenges of maintaining chocolate's integrity at extremely low temperatures, a special formulation was developed. Over time, Magnum expanded its product line to include various flavors and sizes, becoming a global brand. In 2000, Unilever acquired Frisko, making Magnum a part of Unilever's extensive portfolio. Today, Magnum ice cream bars are produced in multiple countries, including Denmark, the United States, and Canada, reflecting the brand's international reach and popularity.
