Leibniz is an iconic German brand of butter biscuits created by the Bahlsen company. Since its introduction in 1891, the biscuit has maintained its signature design of 52 teeth around the edges.

The brand is named after the mathematician and philosopher Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, who was a resident of Hannover, where the Bahlsen company was founded. Leibniz remains a family-owned brand under the Bahlsen enterprise, with the majority of production still occurring within Germany, specifically at their manufacturing plants in Hannover and Barsinghausen.
