The vast majority of Colgate toothpaste distributed across the European Union, including products with German-language packaging like the one shown, is manufactured at their state-of-the-art facility in Świdnica, Poland. This plant opened in 2008 and is the core production hub for the European market. Globally, Colgate also operates major manufacturing centers in Mexico (for the Americas), India, and China to serve their respective regions.

The brand has a rich heritage dating back to 1806, when William Colgate founded a soap and starch business.
