Dr Pepper is an iconic carbonated soft drink formulated by pharmacist Charles Alderton in Waco, Texas, around 1885. It is celebrated for its unique 'authentic blend of 23 flavors', which sets it apart from traditional colas. As one of the oldest major soft drink brands in the United States, it has grown from a local Texas specialty to a global phenomenon.

The manufacturing of Dr Pepper is highly decentralized. While originally produced in Texas, it is now manufactured in multiple countries through a network of bottling partners. In the North American market, it is primarily produced by Keurig Dr Pepper. Internationally, however, the rights are often licensed to other beverage giants such as Coca-Cola or PepsiCo, depending on the region, leading to production facilities located across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
