Hawkers is a prominent Spanish eyewear brand that gained global recognition for disrupting the sunglasses market with a direct-to-consumer digital strategy. Founded in 2013 in Elche, Spain, by four entrepreneurs—Iñaki Soriano, Pablo Sánchez, and brothers Alejandro and David Moreno—the brand initially started by reselling American-made sunglasses before developing its own product lines.

While the brand maintains deep roots in Spain, its manufacturing is distributed across multiple locations including China, Italy, and Spain. Recently, the company emphasized its 'Made in Spain' credentials by opening its own local manufacturing facility to enhance quality control and sustainability. The brand's ownership shifted significantly in 2016 and 2018; it is currently led by Alejandro Betancourt, who became the majority shareholder and president through his investment firm, ensuring the brand's continued expansion into international markets beyond 2026.
