Hjem-IS ice cream

Hjem-IS is a Danish ice cream company founded in 1976, known for delivering ice cream directly to consumers' homes via distinctive light blue vans. The company was originally established as Hjem-IS Europa A/S and is headquartered in Kolding, Denmark. In 2002, it became a subsidiary of Nestlé. However, in 2013, Nestlé sold its Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish divisions to different companies. The Danish division was acquired by a group of four investors, who merged it with their company Viking Is. This combined entity was later sold to Premier Is, a former Nestlé subsidiary, in 2017. Premier Is is now owned by the Food Union Group, a multinational food company specializing in dairy and frozen products, headquartered in Latvia. The Food Union Group owns several ice cream brands across Europe and Asia, including Hjem-IS. The brand continues to operate in Denmark, offering a variety of ice cream products delivered directly to consumers' homes.
