Brand Origin and Manufacturing

Wasco Products Inc. was founded in 1935 by Max Wasserman in Cambridge, Massachusetts, initially as the Wasco Flashing Company. Over the decades, the company has been at the forefront of skylight innovation, introducing products like the acrylic dome skylight in 1949 and the Wascolite Skydome® in 1951. In 2018, Wasco was acquired by VELUX America LLC, the U.S. sales company of the VELUX Group, a global leader in skylights and roof windows. This acquisition expanded VELUX's presence in the commercial daylighting sector. Today, Wasco's manufacturing facilities are located in Wells, Maine, and Reno, Nevada, with a network of independent sales representatives throughout the United States. The brand continues to offer a comprehensive range of skylight solutions for both commercial and residential applications, emphasizing energy efficiency and innovative design.
