Sensodyne is a globally recognized brand specializing in oral care products for people with sensitive teeth. The brand was originally created by Block Drug, a US-based company, in 1961. Sensodyne is particularly known for using potassium nitrate or strontium chloride to help block pain signals from sensitive nerves in the teeth.

Historically, the brand became part of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) after its acquisition of Block Drug in 2001. In 2022, GSK spun off its consumer healthcare division into a new independent company called Haleon. As of 2024 and looking toward the future, Haleon remains the ultimate owner and operator of the brand. Manufacturing is carried out globally in various locations including the United Kingdom, United States, and India, depending on the specific regional market and product variant.
