The NS Intercity Nieuwe Generatie (ICNG) is a class of electric multiple unit trains operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS), the Dutch national railway company. These trains are designed for both domestic and international services, including high-speed connections between Amsterdam and Belgium. Built by Alstom Konstal in Poland, the ICNG trains entered passenger service in April 2023. They are part of the Coradia Stream family and are intended to replace older rolling stock, providing improved comfort and efficiency for travelers. The ICNG trains are recognized by their dark blue and white livery, featuring a large window in the driver's cabin. They are equipped with modern amenities and are capable of operating at speeds up to 200 km/h on high-speed lines and 140 km/h on regular lines. The introduction of the ICNG trains marks a significant advancement in NS's efforts to modernize its fleet and enhance passenger experience.
