Faxe Kondi is a legendary Danish soft drink that has defined the sports and lemon-lime soda market in Denmark since its introduction in 1971. Developed in collaboration between the Faxe Brewery and the multi-sport athlete Knud Lundberg, the drink was uniquely formulated with glucose (dextrose) to provide a quick energy boost, branding it as a 'sports soda' long before modern energy drinks existed.

Originally produced by the Faxe Brewery, the brand became a cornerstone of the merger that formed Bryggerigruppen in 1989, which was later renamed Royal Unibrew in 2005. Today, it remains one of the most recognizable beverage brands in the Nordics, produced primarily at Royal Unibrew's modern facilities in Faxe, Denmark. While it has expanded into variants like 'Zero' and 'Booster' energy drinks, the core recipe still maintains its iconic status in Danish culture.

Ownership has transitioned from a local family-owned brewery to a large, publicly traded international beverage group. Royal Unibrew is currently owned by a diverse group of institutional investors, with Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker A/S as a primary long-term stakeholder, ensuring the brand maintains its deep Danish roots while operating on a global scale.
