Falksalt Finkornigt Salt

Falksalt is one of Sweden's oldest and most iconic brands, with roots dating back to the early 19th century and the founding of a salt shop in Gothenburg. The brand itself was formally established in 1928 when the Hansson family introduced the first table salt to the Swedish market under the name Falk's Salt. The name pays homage to Herman Falk, a historical figure in the British salt industry who originally exported salt from England to Sweden.

Today, the brand is owned by the Salinity Group (Salinity AB), a family-owned company headquartered in Gothenburg that has been managed by the Hansson family for five generations. While Falksalt sources various specialty salts from around the world—such as sea salt flakes from Cyprus or pink salt from Pakistan—their standard table salts and fine-grained products are traditionally refined and packaged at their facilities on the west coast of Sweden.
