Gaggia is an Italian brand renowned for its espresso machines, founded in 1947 by Giovanni Achille Gaggia. The company revolutionized espresso preparation by introducing the 'crema naturale' layer, enhancing the flavor and appearance of espresso. In 1999, Gaggia was acquired by Saeco International Group, which was subsequently purchased by Philips in 2009. In 2017, Philips sold the Saeco Professional division, along with the Gaggia brand, to N&W Global Vending SpA, an Italian company specializing in vending machines. N&W later rebranded as Evoca Group, which continues to produce Gaggia's professional espresso machines. While Gaggia's professional machines are primarily manufactured in Italy, some models are produced in other locations. The brand's rich history and commitment to quality have solidified its position as a leader in the espresso machine industry.
