Gösser Märzen Beer

Gösser is one of Austria's most prominent and historically significant beer brands, originating from the Göss Abbey in Leoben, Styria. The brewing tradition at the site dates back to the 11th century, though the modern commercial brewery was established by Max Kober in 1860. It is best known for its Märzen-style lager and its role in inventing the modern Radler category. While many associate the brand deeply with Styrian identity, it has grown into an international name.

Today, Gösser is produced primarily at the Göss Brewery in Austria. Since 2003, the brand has been part of the Heineken N.V. portfolio after the Dutch brewing giant acquired Brau Union AG. This acquisition integrated Gösser into one of the world's largest beverage networks, ensuring global distribution while maintaining its Austrian production roots and regional heritage.
