Singha is a globally recognized premium pale lager that serves as a symbol of Thai tradition and quality. First brewed in 1933 by Boon Rawd Brewery, it holds a significant place in Thai history as the first brewery in the country. The brand's identity is deeply rooted in Southeast Asian mythology; the name 'Singha' refers to a powerful mythical lion that appears in ancient Hindu and Buddhist stories, representing strength and leadership.

The beer's high status was further solidified in 1939 when King Rama VIII granted the brewery a Royal Warrant, allowing them to display the Garuda—a celestial eagle and national emblem—on their bottles. This honor remains a point of pride for the brand today. Singha is brewed using 100% barley malt and premium hops from Europe, combined with Thai artesian water to create its distinct full-bodied and malty flavor profile.

While its heart and primary production remain in Thailand, Singha's global reach has expanded significantly. It is now distributed in over 50 countries and is an active sponsor in international sports, notably in football and motorsports. Despite its international reach, the brand remains under the stewardship of the founding Bhirombhakdi family through their company, Boon Rawd Brewery.
