The Air Jordan 1 is a basketball shoe produced by Nike, Inc. for basketball player Michael Jordan during his time with the Chicago Bulls. Released to the public on April 1, 1985, the shoe was designed by Peter Moore, Tinker Hatfield, and Bruce Kilgore. The 'Jumpman' logo, associated with the brand, originated from a photograph of Michael Jordan taken before the 1984 Summer Olympics.
