Class A Filter Cigarettes are produced by Liggett Vector Brands, a subsidiary of Vector Group Ltd., headquartered in the United States. The brand is marketed exclusively to the U.S. military. Class A cigarettes are characterized by their higher tar and nicotine content, offering a 'full flavor' smoking experience. The term 'Class A' traditionally refers to cigarettes containing around 15-18mg of tar and 1.2-1.4mg of nicotine, representing a bolder taste. However, it's important to note that smoking any type of cigarette poses significant health risks, and the presence of a filter does not mitigate these dangers. Filters do not effectively reduce the harmful chemicals in cigarette smoke, and smokers may compensate by inhaling more deeply or smoking more cigarettes, which can increase exposure to toxic substances. Additionally, cigarette filters, often made from cellulose acetate, are not biodegradable and contribute to environmental pollution. Therefore, regardless of the type or brand, smoking remains hazardous to health and the environment.
