The brand originated in 1920 when the Frank Tea and Spice Company, founded in 1896 in Cincinnati, Ohio, partnered with the Estilette Pepper Farm in Louisiana to create the original blend of Frank's RedHot. The Xtra Hot variety offers four times the heat of the Original RedHot, made with a blend of aged cayenne peppers. McCormick & Company acquired Frank's RedHot in 2017, making it the ultimate owner of the brand.
