Sierra Tequila Blanco is an iconic spirit known for its distinctive bottle topped with a plastic red sombrero. It is produced at the Destilería Sierra Unidas in Guadalajara, Mexico, the heart of the tequila region. The brand was originally created by the German company Borco-Marken-Import Matthiesen GmbH & Co. KG, which specialized in international spirits distribution.

In recent years, the brand transitioned to new ownership following the acquisition of Borco by the Stock Spirits Group in 2023. Stock Spirits Group is a leading alcohol manufacturer focused on Central and Eastern Europe. While the tequila is strictly manufactured and bottled in Mexico to comply with protected designation of origin regulations, the brand's strategic management and distribution are handled from Europe.
