Font Vella Natural Mineral Water

Font Vella is an iconic Spanish brand of natural mineral water with a history dating back to the late 19th century in Sant Hilari Sacalm, Girona. The water was originally sold in jugs by local water carriers before being formally commodified. It was declared medicinal-mineral water in 1957.

Today, Font Vella is manufactured and bottled exclusively in Spain at two main locations: the Sacalm spring in the Montseny Natural Park (Girona) and the Sigüenza spring in the Barranco del Río Dulce Natural Park (Guadalajara). Since 1974, the brand has been part of the Danone portfolio, specifically under the subsidiary Aguas Danone, SA. It remains one of the most popular bottled water brands in the Spanish market, often emphasized for its low mineralization and suitability for infant nutrition.
