Sunkist is a historic citrus brand that originated in the United States. In 1908, the Sunkist name was first used by a California-based citrus cooperative (now known as Sunkist Growers, Inc.) to market high-quality oranges. The beverage line, best known for its vibrant orange soda, was launched in 1978 and quickly became one of the most popular orange-flavored soft drinks in the American market.
Today, the soft drink brand is owned and manufactured by Keurig Dr Pepper. While the original citrus cooperative remains a separate entity for agricultural products, they license the Sunkist name to Keurig Dr Pepper for use in their carbonated beverage portfolio. The product shown, a 1.75-liter bottle of orange soda, is primarily produced across various bottling facilities in the United States to serve the North American consumer base.
